It has a self-repairing function and fine cracks may be repaired by the material itself. This material can help to improve the concrete strength and prevent it from cracking. Chemical corrosion resistance and impact resistance of the concrete can also be improved. So reinforcing steel bar in the concrete will not be corroded any more.

This material has permanent waterproof function and is an environment-friendly product without odor, pollution or toxic substance. National Disease Control Center inspected soaking liquid of this material and found that its water quality complies with National Drinking Water Standard.

Ⅰ. Product Characteristics

The cementitious capillary crystalline waterproofing material is a kind of grey or white powdered material composed of portland cement, specially selected quartz sand and special active chemical substances. Working principle of this material is: With water as its carrier, the material will penetrate into and fill up the pores and capillaries of the concrete.

During this process, a water insoluble dendritic crystal structure is formed as a result of both physical and chemical reactions. The crystals and the concrete structure will finally constitute a whole closed-type waterproof layer, which can prevent water or other liquid in any directions.

1. Outstanding waterproof capacity

(1) Outstanding water pressure withstanding capacity: can withstand high water pressure chronically. A concrete sample (thickness 50mm, strength 13.8Mpa) with two layers of this material applied on it can withstand a head pressure of at least 123.4m (1.2Mpa).

(2) Outstanding penetration capacity: When applied on a concrete sample, this material will penetrate into the concrete structure in all directions as a result of both physical and chemical reaction. When stored outside for half a year, the penetration depth can be up to 100-150mm.

(3) Long lasting self-repairing capacity: This product is a kind of inorganic material. The crystal formed is non-aging. For concrete structures treated with this material, even though some new irregular cracks may appear after several years for reasons of vibration or sedimentation, this material can repair them by itself.

When water penetrates into these new cracks, the catalyst contained in this material may activate the dormant active substance inside the material and produces new crystals to fill up these cracks and block the water off. All cracks less than 0.4mm can be self-repaired.

2. Unique capacity in respiration, corrosion resistance, aging resistance and reinforcing steel bar protection.

(1) The water insoluble crystal produced by this material does not influence respiration capacity of the concrete. The normal air permeability inside the concrete structure can be maintained to keep dry while the water can be blocked off.

(2) Good chemical substance corrosion resistance. The corresponding pH withstanding range: Long-term contact: 3.0-11.0. Occasional contact: 2.0-12.

(3) Good aging resistance and certain radiation resistance: This material can maintain its function when exposed to -32°C-130°C chronically or to -180°C-1530°C occasionally.

(4) When treated with this material, the concrete’s protection over the reinforcing steel bar can be improved and flaking, efflorescence or other damages caused by frost thawing of the concrete can be avoided.

3. Environment-friendly, non-toxic and harmless

This material has been verified by the sanitary, health and environment protection departments of many countries and can be applied in drinking water projects and food processing waterproofing projects.

4. Good compatibility with other materials

(1) This material can be added together with the cement during concrete placement. The labor costs and working time can be reduced and the waterproof, corrosion resistance capacity and other performances of the concrete can be improved.
